Signal routing in a 16-VQFN package
It routes one of eight input lines to a common output (or the reverse, as a demultiplexer), controlled by a three-bit select code. The single-supply range of 2.3V to 3.6V covers 2.5V and 3.3V logic rails common in mixed-voltage designs — think FPGA I/O banks, sensor muxing, or test-point selection on a production board.
Industrial temperature range — where it fits
The 74CBTLV series uses a low-voltage CMOS architecture, so off-state leakage stays low across the range — no surprise drift that would pull a muxed analog signal off its mark.
