Supply rail and signal integrity
The switch's low on-resistance (typically 5 Ω) and flatness across the signal swing keep the inserted voltage drop below 25 mV at 5 mA — negligible for most digital paths, but worth budgeting if the bus carries analog levels. Each of the two independent circuits is a 1:1 SPST switch controlled by a dedicated output-enable pin. When the OE pin is low, the switch is on; when high, the switch presents a high-impedance state to the bus. This per-channel control lets you isolate one segment of a bus while keeping another active — useful for power-sequencing or hot-swap backplanes.
Package and board-fit
The 8-SOIC package has a seated height of approximately 1.75 mm, fitting into low-profile designs. No exposed thermal pad means the board layout is straightforward — just route the supply, ground, and signal traces per the datasheet's recommended land pattern.
