The supply window is tight: 4.75V minimum to 5.25V maximum, single supply only. This part will not operate from a 3.3V rail. If your design runs a mixed-voltage bus, the SN74CBT16233DL translates 5V TTL levels only. The 16-bit bus width and 1:2 mux/demux topology suit memory-address multiplexing, data-bus splitting, or peripheral sharing in a 5V-only system.
