Housed in a 48-BSSOP with 0.295-inch (7.50 mm) body width, the footprint is wider than a standard 48-SSOP (5.30 mm) — the land pattern must match the 7.50 mm width or the part sits off the pads. The single-supply 4.5V to 5.5V rail means no secondary regulator is needed if the board already carries a 5V bus; the switch core draws its bias from the same rail as the logic it isolates. Two independent circuit banks let the designer gate the upper and lower 10-bit halves separately — useful for splitting a 20-bit address or data bus into two controlled segments.
