500 Mbps dual-bit level translator in 8-DSBGA
The Texas Instruments SN74AVC2T45YZPR is a dual-bit, bidirectional voltage-level translator from the 74AVC logic family.
At 500 Mbps, this translator keeps signal edges clean enough for 100 MHz SPI clocks or high-speed UART lines without adding a full clock cycle of delay. The bidirectional channel type means a single device handles both TX and RX on a half-duplex bus, saving a second translator. The tri-state output lets multiple drivers share the line — useful for multi-drop I2C or shared interrupt lines.
Texas Instruments lists the SN74AVC2T45YZPR as Active. The part is ROHS3 compliant.
Package and mounting
The 8-DSBGA package is a 0.5 mm pitch, lead-free compatible BGA. It requires a solder-paste stencil with 0.3 mm apertures and a reflow profile matching the SAC305 alloy. No lab, no bench — but you will want a hot-air station with a fine nozzle and a microscope to inspect the joints. The part is surface-mount only; no socket exists for field swapping.
