Active production — what that means for your BOM
The SN74AUP1G98DCKT: ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the current EU RoHS exemption regime without a time-limited carve-out.
Configurable logic with Schmitt-trigger noise immunity
The SN74AUP1G98DCKT is a configurable multiple-function gate — a single IC that can be wired to perform AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR, or inverter functions depending on the input connections. Three inputs let you implement a wider set of logic combinations than a fixed 2-input gate. Schmitt-trigger inputs are built in, meaning the gate switches at a clean, hysteresis-defined threshold rather than a single voltage point. This rejects noise on slow or bouncy signals — useful for debouncing a mechanical switch or cleaning up a sensor output on a long PCB trace. Supply range spans 0.8V to 3.6V, covering the 1.2V and 1.8V rails common in low-power MCU and wireless designs, plus 3.3V legacy logic. The gate operates from a single supply; no separate I/O rail needed.
Package and temperature — board-fit details
Housed in an SC-70-6 (SOT-363) package — 6 leads, 0.65 mm pitch, roughly 2.0 × 1.25 mm body. Fits tight layouts where a larger SOIC or TSSOP would not route. Suitable for factory-floor control, outdoor telecom cabinets, and commercial HVAC, but not for under-hood or engine-bay electronics. Output drive is 4 mA source and 4 mA sink at the rated supply — enough to drive a single LED or a CMOS input, but not a relay coil or a long cable. The output is single-ended, not tri-state or open-drain.
