Single open-drain buffer for low-voltage logic rails
The SN74AUP1G07DSFR: The open-drain output sinks up to 4mA and can be pulled up to a voltage independent of the supply rail. The 6-SON (1x1 mm) package keeps the board footprint minimal — useful when the buffer is placed close to a connector or sensor rather than routed back to a CPLD or larger logic device.
The 0.8V to 3.6V supply range covers the common sub-1V core voltages (0.9V, 1.0V) as well as 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V I/O rails. Because the output is open drain, the pull-up resistor can be tied to a different voltage — for example, a 1.2V MCU GPIO driving a 3.3V peripheral input through this buffer, with the pull-up connected to the 3.3V rail. The 4mA sink current is sufficient for typical logic loads and low-current indicators; if the load requires more than 4mA, a discrete MOSFET or a higher-drive buffer is needed. It is not qualified to AEC-Q100, so for under-hood automotive or extended-temperature outdoor equipment, a different part should be selected.
The 74AUP family remains a current-production series from TI, and this specific package variant (6-SON) is a standard offering with multiple distributor stocking points.
