Supply voltage — the mixed-voltage decision
This is not a single-supply part with a wide tolerance — it is a true dual-supply transceiver. The A-port tracks the lower rail, the B-port tracks the higher rail. If your design runs a 2.5 V FPGA core on one side and a 3.3 V peripheral bus on the other, this part bridges them without a glue-level translator. The output drive is 12 mA for both high and low states, which is moderate — enough for a lightly loaded backplane or a handful of CMOS inputs, but check the fan-out if you are driving a long trace with multiple stubs.
The 48-TFSOP (0.240", 6.10 mm width) package, also referred to as 48-TSSOP in the supplier device package field, is a standard fine-pitch surface-mount package. The lead pitch is 0.5 mm; the body is 6.10 mm wide and approximately 12.5 mm long. This is not a BGA or QFN — it is a gull-wing leaded package, inspectable after reflow and reworkable with standard hot-air tools.
