16-bit bus transceiver for mixed-voltage backplanes

The 1.65V to 3.6V supply range covers 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V logic rails, so this part can sit between a low-voltage FPGA bank and a legacy 3.3V peripheral without a dedicated level shifter. The 24mA symmetric output drive is the standard ALVCH figure — enough to switch a 50 pF bus at 100 MHz with clean edges, but if your trace length exceeds 6 inches or you're driving multiple loads, check the signal integrity at the far end. The 3-state outputs let you share a bus with other transceivers; just mind the turn-on/turn-off timing if you're hot-swapping cards.
On the rework bench, that means hot air at 300°C with a nozzle that covers the whole body — don't try a soldering iron on individual pins unless you're desperate and have a steady hand. No exposed thermal pad, so power dissipation is limited to what the plastic package can sink through the pins; keep the ambient below 85°C if you're running all 16 channels at 24 mA continuously.
