Buffer with Schmitt-trigger inputs — 2V to 5.5V supply, 20-PDIP
The SN74AHC8541N: It accepts a wide supply range from 2V to 5.5V, making it usable across 3.3V and 5V logic domains without a level translator. The Schmitt-trigger inputs provide hysteresis that cleans up noisy or slow-rising signals — a practical advantage in industrial backplanes, sensor interfaces, or any environment where the input waveform is not a clean square wave.
Industrial temperature grade and through-hole package
The 20-pin PDIP package is a through-hole form factor — still the right choice for breadboard prototyping, retrofit of legacy boards, and low-volume builds where a socketed part simplifies field replacement. Each element sinks or sources up to 12 mA per output, enough to drive a standard logic load or a low-power LED indicator.
