The Texas Instruments SN74AHC245QPWR is a single-element, 8-bit non-inverting transceiver with 3-state outputs from the 74AHC family. It sits between two bidirectional data buses, letting you control direction with a DIR pin and isolate the bus with the output-enable (OE) pin.
The 2V to 5.5V supply is the headline spec: it lets you use the same part on a 3.3V FPGA bank and a 5V legacy peripheral without a level translator. The 8mA output current high and low is typical for the AHC family — enough to drive CMOS logic inputs and short PCB traces, but not enough for a relay coil or LED array. If your load needs more than 8mA per channel, you need a buffer or a higher-drive family like 74ABT or 74LVTH.
