Single-gate inverter in SC-70-5
The Texas Instruments SN74AHC1GU04DCK3 is a single unbuffered inverter from the 74AHC family, packaged in a 5-lead SC-70-5 (SOT-353) footprint.
Output drive and timing
Each output can source or sink 8mA, sufficient to drive a standard CMOS logic input or a small LED indicator without an external buffer. Propagation delay is 7ns max at 5V with a 50pF load, keeping the gate fast enough for most general-purpose logic and oscillator circuits. Quiescent current is 1µA max, so the gate adds negligible static power draw in battery-powered or always-on subsystems.
Supply and logic thresholds
The unbuffered topology (GU04 variant) gives a lower input threshold voltage than the buffered version — low-level threshold is 0.3V to 1.1V, high-level is 1.7V to 4.4V across the supply range. This makes it suitable for crystal oscillator or RC oscillator circuits where the input swing is not rail-to-rail.
