Parametric fit for the BOM line
The SN74AC74MDREP is a dual D-type flip-flop from the 74AC family, each element storing one bit with set and reset inputs. It triggers on the positive clock edge and delivers complementary outputs — the Q and /Q pair that a typical state-machine or register bank expects. Clock frequency is rated at 160 MHz, which sets the data-rate ceiling for the bus it drives. Propagation delay is 10 ns max at 5 V into 50 pF — the time from clock edge to output valid, the spec that governs timing closure in a synchronous design. Supply range spans 2 V to 6 V, covering both 3.3 V and 5 V rails without a separate level translator. Quiescent current is 2 µA, so the flip-flop adds negligible draw in a battery-backed or low-power standby domain. Operating temperature is -55°C to 125°C — the full military-grade band.
Package and mounting reality
Housed in a 14-SOIC package with 0.154-inch body width and 3.90 mm body width — the standard narrow SOIC footprint. Surface-mount only; the supplier device package is 14-SOIC, so the PCB land pattern matches the JEDEC MS-012 variation. Available in Tape & Reel and Cut Tape options. The Cut Tape variant suits prototype or low-volume builds; the reel is the production pick-and-place format.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
That means it remains in the standard production portfolio and is available through the usual TI distribution channels. ROHS3 compliant, no exemptions. Sourced to order against a BOM quantity — availability and current pricing confirmed at RFQ through franchised and independent distribution. No stock-holding claim; the part is quoted per the buyer's required date-code window.
