What this triple AND gate does on the board
The SN74AC11DR is a triple 3-input AND gate from TI's 74AC family, in a 14-SOIC package. It takes three independent AND gates, each with three inputs, and delivers a high output only when all three inputs are high. The 2V to 6V supply range means it can sit on a 3.3V or 5V rail without a level translator — handy when you're mixing logic families on the same board. With 24mA output drive per channel, it can sink or source enough current to drive a standard LED or fan out to several CMOS loads without an extra buffer.
