With a max propagation delay of 7 ns at 5 V and 50 pF load, it keeps timing closure in logic paths running up to roughly 50 MHz. The symmetric 24 mA output drive (both source and sink) means it can fan out to a half-dozen CMOS loads or drive a short PCB trace without needing a separate line buffer. Supply range is 2 V to 6 V, so it works in both 3.3 V and 5 V systems without a level translator.
