Quad 2-input NAND in 14-SOIC
The SN74AC00DR is a Texas Instruments 74AC-series quad 2-input NAND gate in a 14-SOIC package. It packs four independent NAND gates, each with two inputs, into a single surface-mount IC.
Electrical margins and drive
Quiescent current maxes at 2 µA, so the gate draws negligible power when idle — a detail that matters in battery-backed or always-on logic rails. Output drive is 24 mA source and 24 mA sink, enough to drive a standard LED or a few CMOS inputs without a buffer. Propagation delay is 8 ns at 5V with a 50 pF load, which sets the timing budget for a 125 MHz data path. Input logic thresholds are specified: low level 0.9V to 1.65V, high level 2.1V to 3.85V, giving clear noise margins across the 2-6V supply range.
