9-bit bus-interface latch — 4.4 ns propagation, 32/64 mA drive
The SN74ABT843DW is a 9-bit D-type transparent latch from TI's 74ABT family, packaged in a 24-SOIC (7.50 mm wide body). Output drive is rated 32 mA source and 64 mA sink, letting it drive multiple loads on a shared bus without external buffers. The tri-state outputs allow the latch to be placed in high-Z when the bus is owned by another device.
The 74ABT family is BiCMOS, blending the speed of ABT with reduced power consumption.
Single-latch 9:9 configuration for 9-bit data paths
The device contains one independent D-type transparent latch with a 9:9 circuit ratio — nine data inputs map to nine outputs. The latch is transparent when the enable input is asserted; data at the outputs follows the inputs. When enable is de-asserted, the outputs latch the last data state. The 24-SOIC package (supplier device package 24-SOIC) uses a 1.27 mm pitch, which is a standard footprint for SOIC-24 wide-body. The surface-mount assembly is straightforward for reflow processes.
