What this part is and where it fits
The Texas Instruments SN7414DR is a hex inverter from the 7400 series, each channel a single-input inverter with Schmitt-trigger hysteresis on the input. The Schmitt action cleans up slow or noisy edges — a ratiometric threshold at 0.6V low and 2V high means a 1V transition band that rejects chatter from switch contacts, RC oscillators, or long PCB traces. Six independent circuits in a 14-SOIC package, surface-mount, rated for 0°C to 70°C commercial environments.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
ROHS3 compliant. For a BOM freeze or a legacy 5V TTL line, this part carries no LTB clock.
