1.428 Gbps LVDS serializer — what the data rate buys you
The Texas Instruments SN65LVDS95DGG is an LVDS serializer that takes 21 parallel LVDS inputs and serializes them onto three LVTTL output pairs at an aggregate data rate of 1.428 Gbps. That 21:3 compression ratio is the headline value: it replaces a wide, expensive parallel bus with a slimmed-down serial link, saving board area, connector pins, and cable weight in display interfaces, camera modules, and video distribution systems. The 1.428 Gbps aggregate rate supports 24-bit color at WXGA (1366×768) refresh rates or lower-resolution panels at higher frame rates — the so-what is that you can run a single differential pair per channel instead of a 21-wide ribbon cable.
Package and footprint — 48-TSSOP
Housed in a 48-TFSOP (0.240", 6.10 mm width) package, also designated 48-TSSOP. Surface-mount, fine-pitch — standard reflow profile for MSL 3 devices applies. The 48-pin count is modest for a serializer of this channel count, keeping the PCB footprint compact. Tube delivery is typical for engineering samples and low-volume production; higher-volume reels are available under alternate order codes in the family.
