28-to-4 serialization — what the channel count means
The 28 LVTTL inputs accept parallel data from a graphics controller, FPGA, or application processor, while the 4 LVDS outputs drive a single differential pair per channel. This 7:1 serialization ratio per output pair reduces the cable count from 28 single-ended traces to 4 differential pairs, which directly cuts connector pin count and EMI. The LVDS outputs swing typically 350 mV differential, keeping radiated emissions low enough to pass FCC Class B in a well-laid-out board.
Housed in a 56-TSSOP (6.10 mm wide, 0.240" body), the fine-pitch footprint requires careful solder-paste stencil design and a controlled reflow profile — MSL 3 handling applies out of the bag.
