28-to-4 LVDS serializer with automotive-grade qualification
The Texas Instruments SN65LVDS93AIDGGRQ1 is an AEC-Q100 qualified serializer that converts 28 parallel LVTTL inputs into 4 LVDS serial outputs at a data rate of 135 Mbps. This part is designed for applications such as automotive infotainment displays, camera links, and any system needing to reduce the number of parallel data lines over a differential pair.
At 135 Mbps per LVDS output pair, the aggregate serial bandwidth supports 24-bit RGB video at VGA resolution (640x480 @ 60 Hz) or similar parallel data streams. The 28-to-4 channel ratio saves 24 board traces compared to a parallel LVTTL bus, which directly reduces PCB layer count and connector pin count in a space-constrained automotive head unit or camera module.
Housed in a 56-TSSOP (6.10 mm width) surface-mount package, the SN65LVDS93AIDGGRQ1 requires a standard fine-pitch TSSOP footprint. The 56-pin count accommodates the 28 inputs, 4 outputs, power, and ground pins. Cut Tape (CT) is available for prototyping or low-volume builds.
