Quad LVDS driver for 630 Mbps serial links
The Texas Instruments SN65LVDS391DG4 is a quad-channel LVDS driver in a 16-pin SOIC package, designed to translate parallel CMOS/TTL signals into low-voltage differential pairs at data rates up to 630 Mbps per channel. With four independent drivers and no receivers on-chip, it handles point-to-point or multidrop clock and data distribution where the receive side is handled by a separate LVDS receiver or FPGA differential input bank.
630 Mbps per channel — signal integrity at cable lengths
At 630 Mbps the driver delivers a differential output swing of typically 350 mV into a 100 Ω termination, which is the LVDS standard. That rate supports high-resolution video links, serialized sensor data, and backplane clock distribution over twisted-pair or PCB traces up to several meters, depending on cable quality and termination.
