630 Mbps LVDS driver, 8-channel, 38-TSSOP
The SN65LVDS389DBT: With eight drivers and no receivers on-chip, it is a pure transmit-side device for point-to-point or multidrop LVDS links. Housed in a 38-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width), it occupies a compact footprint on the board.
Data rate and signal integrity
At 630 Mbps, the driver supports high-speed serial links such as display interfaces, camera serial interfaces, and backplane data aggregation. The LVDS output swing is typically 350 mV into a 100 Ω termination, keeping EMI low compared to single-ended signaling at the same rate. The driver outputs are current-mode, so the signal amplitude is set by the external termination resistor, not the supply voltage.
