What this LVDS receiver brings to the backplane
The Texas Instruments SN65LVDS352PW is a four-channel LVDS receiver in a 24-TSSOP package, designed for point-to-point and multidrop links where signal integrity over twisted-pair or PCB traces matters.
At 560 Mbps the receiver can clock 35 million 16-bit words per second per channel, enough for uncompressed video links or high-speed data acquisition backplanes. The 50 mV hysteresis is the key noise-margin spec: it prevents the output from chattering when the differential input sits near the threshold, which matters when the cable runs across a noisy factory floor or shares a bundle with motor-drive signals. Without that hysteresis, a clean idle bus or a slow-slewing edge can produce spurious pulses that confuse the downstream logic.
