201 Mbps CMOS-to-LVDS serializer for display and camera links
The Texas Instruments SN65LVDS315RGER is an 8-input, 1-output LVDS serializer that converts parallel CMOS data into a serial LVDS stream at rates up to 201 Mbps. It accepts eight CMOS-level inputs and multiplexes them onto a single LVDS differential pair, reducing the number of interconnect lines between a host processor and a remote display or image sensor by a factor of eight.
Supply rail and logic-level compatibility
The 1.65V to 1.95V supply range directly answers the compatibility question: yes, the SN65LVDS315RGER runs on a 1.8V rail without a separate level shifter. The CMOS inputs are referenced to the same supply, so the host interface must also swing at 1.8V logic levels. The LVDS output delivers a typical 350 mV swing across a 100 Ω termination, compliant with the TIA/EIA-644 standard.
