Full-duplex topology and signal integrity
With a 1/1 driver/receiver configuration and full-duplex capability, this transceiver is designed for point-to-point links where simultaneous bidirectional data flow is needed — for example, clock-and-data recovery in serial backplanes or high-speed control links between servo drives. The 150 Mbps data rate provides enough margin for 100 Mbps Ethernet-like signaling or fast serial peripheral interfaces, but the edge rates are fast enough that PCB trace impedance control and termination resistors close to the pins matter. Keep the stub length under 12 mm and use a 100 Ω differential pair impedance target.
Supply rail and power integrity
At the lower end, 3.0 V is the minimum — a 3.3 V rail with 5% tolerance stays well above that, but if the rail droops during a cold-crank event, confirm the local bypass capacitance (0.1 µF ceramic per pin pair, plus a 1 µF bulk near the supply pin) keeps the transient above 3.0 V. The part is not rated for 2.5 V or 5 V operation; mixing supplies requires a level translator on the logic side.
Industrial temperature range and deployment context
If the system sees sustained junction temperatures above 85°C or requires AEC-Q100 qualification, this part is not the right choice — look for an automotive-grade LVDS transceiver instead.
