Product details

LVDS deserializer for 3:10 serial-to-parallel conversion

The Texas Instruments SN65LVDS152DA is an LVDS deserializer that takes a single serial LVDS data stream and converts it to a 10-bit parallel output. With a 200 Mbps serial data rate, it handles one 200 Mbps lane or three lower-rate streams through its three input channels, delivering ten parallel outputs. It comes in a 32-TSSOP package, surface-mount, supplied in Tube.

The 200 Mbps serial data rate sets the maximum throughput from the LVDS source to the deserializer. At this rate, the input LVDS swing is small (typical 350 mV differential), so the trace length and impedance control on the PCB matter: a 100-Ω differential pair with proper termination at the receiver keeps the eye open. The 3:10 ratio means each of the three serial inputs can carry up to 200 Mbps, and the ten parallel outputs update at the corresponding parallel clock rate. For a 200 Mbps serial stream, the parallel clock runs at 20 MHz (200 Mbps ÷ 10 bits).
