Quad LVDS receiver for the 3.3 V backplane
The SN65LVDS048APWG4: It belongs to the 65LVDS family and handles data rates up to 400 Mbps per channel. The 16-TSSOP package is common enough that you will find it in the field kit.
At 400 Mbps per channel, this receiver can handle most parallel LVDS links used in display interfaces, high-speed ADC outputs, and backplane data distribution. The four receivers are independent, so you can terminate four separate point-to-point links or one quad-wide bus.
If you are doing a field swap without a reflow oven, it is possible with hot air and flux, but the fine pitch means you want to pre-bake the board if it has been in a humid environment — MSL is not stated here, but TSSOPs typically run MSL 1 or 2.
