The 14-SOIC package is a rework-friendly footprint — a standard hot-air station with a fine nozzle lifts the part cleanly off the board without cooking adjacent passives, provided you pre-bake the reel at 125°C for 24 hours if the moisture-barrier bag has been breached (MSL 3).
