CAN bus transceiver for 3.3 V automotive and industrial networks
The receiver includes 100 mV of hysteresis to reject noise on the differential bus, which helps keep the data intact when the cable picks up alternator whine or motor-drive hash.
The supply range of 3.0 V to 3.6 V matches the rail of a 3.3 V CAN controller directly, so no level shifter is needed between the controller's TX/RX pins and the transceiver. The part is not rated for 5 V logic on the bus side — the CANH/CANL pins are differential, but the logic interface expects 3.3 V levels. If your controller runs at 5 V, you will need a translation stage or a different transceiver rated for that supply.
For existing BOMs that already use this part, the supply channel is stable through standard distribution.
