CAN transceiver for automotive and industrial 3.3V buses
It carries AEC-Q100 automotive qualification, so it is rated for under-hood and chassis-domain environments where the ambient hits -40°C to 125°C. The receiver hysteresis is set at 100 mV, which helps reject noise on long twisted-pair runs without external filtering.
With one driver and one receiver, this is the standard CAN node interface: the driver puts differential signals on the bus, the receiver converts them back to logic levels. The 8-SOIC footprint (3.90 mm width) is a common layout — no surprises for the PCB designer. Do not try to run it on a 5V rail; the absolute maximum is 3.6V, so a 5V system needs a separate regulator or a different transceiver.
