Half-duplex RS-485 transceiver with 50 mV hysteresis
The 50 mV of receiver hysteresis gives the bus some noise margin on long cable runs or in electrically noisy industrial environments.
The 115 kbps maximum data rate places this part in the slow-to-moderate speed tier for RS-485. It is a good fit for fieldbus protocols like Modbus RTU at 9600 or 19200 baud, or for simple sensor polling loops where cable length rather than throughput is the constraint. At this signaling rate the bus can comfortably run several hundred meters without special termination or repeater concerns.
The 105°C upper limit is enough for most engine-bay-adjacent zones but not for direct exhaust or brake-system mounting.
