25 Mbps and the cable-length tradeoff
At 25 Mbps the SN65HVD10MDREP can drive roughly 30–50 meters of twisted-pair before signal degradation forces a lower speed or a repeater. For longer runs — 100+ meters — stepping down to a 250 kbps or 1 Mbps variant (same footprint) trades throughput for reach. The 35 mV hysteresis cleans up reflections on unterminated stubs, which helps in noisy backplane or multi-drop layouts.
The base product number is 65HVD10, so any future die revision or package variant will share that root.
3.3 V supply — fits common FPGA and MCU rails
No level translator needed when the UART or SPI master runs at 3.3 V logic. The 8-SOIC footprint is standard — same land pattern as the SN65HVD10D and SN65HVD11D, so a layout can swap between speed grades without a board respin.
