32 Mbps half-duplex RS-485 transceiver — 3.3V-only, industrial temp
3.3V-only supply — 5V bus tolerance is not on the table
It cannot tolerate 5V on the VCC pin. If the design runs a 5V logic rail, you need a level translator or a different transceiver. The bus pins are RS-485 compliant and handle common-mode voltages up to -7V to +12V per the RS-485 standard, but the device itself is not 5V-tolerant on the supply side. For 5V systems, look at the SN65HVD10 (non-DR suffix) or the SN65HVD11 family.
