5V CANbus transceiver — the supply rail is non-negotiable
If your system uses a 3.3 V CAN controller, you need a level translator or a different transceiver. The single driver and single receiver pair gives you one CAN node per package, standard for distributed automotive and industrial bus interfaces.
Receiver hysteresis is specified at 125 mV — that's the noise margin on a loaded CAN bus, enough to reject common-mode transients from relay switching or motor commutation without false bit detection.
