The 125 mV receiver hysteresis provides noise rejection on the differential bus lines, which matters when the cable run passes motor drives or switching power supplies.
5V supply and temperature range — fit for the BOM
The 4.75V to 5.25V supply range locks this into a 5V CAN bus domain. If the rest of the board runs 3.3V logic, a level translator or a 3.3V-tolerant transceiver variant is needed — this part does not accept 3.3V on the VCC pin. The 125 mV hysteresis is a real advantage on long bus stubs or in high-EMI environments; it prevents false bit detection from coupled noise.
