Product details

Deserializer with LVDS input and 10-bit parallel output

The SCAN921224SLC/NOPB is a 10-bit deserializer that takes a single LVDS serial data stream at up to 660 Mbps and converts it to a 10-bit-wide LVCMOS or LVTTL parallel bus. The 660 Mbps data rate corresponds to a 66 MHz serial clock — the 10-bit output word updates at 66 MHz, which is the maximum parallel bus rate. The single LVDS input drives ten parallel outputs, meaning one serial lane replaces a 10-wire parallel bus — a direct board-space and connector-pin savings on the serial side.

Supply, temperature, and package constraints

Housed in a 49-ball NFBGA (7x7 mm) package. The 0.80 mm ball pitch demands a controlled-impedance PCB stack-up for the LVDS input trace — the 100-Ω differential pair should be routed with matched length to the BGA ball. The package is moisture-sensitive; bake before reflow if the floor life has been exceeded.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between SCAN921224SLC/NOPB and SN65LV1023ARHBT?

The SCAN921224SLC/NOPB is a deserializer (serial-to-parallel) with one LVDS input and ten LVCMOS/LVTTL outputs. The SN65LV1023ARHBT is a serializer (parallel-to-serial) with ten LVTTL inputs and one LVDS output — the two are functional opposites, not drop-in replacements. A link using both parts would use the SN65LV1023 on the transmit side and the SCAN921224 on the receive side.
