Product details

Dual op-amp for audio and industrial signal conditioning

With a 9 V/µs slew rate, the SA5532ADR can reproduce a 20 V peak-to-peak output swing at roughly 70 kHz without slew-induced distortion. That is more than adequate for full-bandwidth audio (20 Hz–20 kHz) and for driving the input of a 12-bit ADC sampling at a few hundred kHz. The 10 MHz GBW means closed-loop gain of 10 still gives you 1 MHz of small-signal bandwidth — enough for precision filtering up to the low-MHz range. For a general-purpose bipolar op-amp these are typical values; they do not limit most audio or industrial designs, but a precision application requiring sub-100 µV offset would need a chopper-stabilized alternative.

The 10 V minimum supply span rules out single 5 V operation — plan for at least ±5 V or a single 10 V rail.

Frequently asked questions

Can SA5532ADR replace NE5532?

The SA5532ADR is a direct functional equivalent to the NE5532 in the same 8-SOIC footprint, with identical pinout and similar 10 MHz GBW and 9 V/µs slew rate. For designs already using the NE5532, the SA5532ADR is a drop-in replacement that extends the operating temperature range.
