Temperature grade — commercial, not full automotive
It is suited for cabin-mounted modules, infotainment head units, or test equipment where the ambient stays within 0°C to 70°C. If the design requires extended temperature, a different AEC-Q100 part with a wider range would be needed.
Through-hole DIP-8 — legacy and repair fit
The 8-DIP (0.300", 7.62 mm) through-hole package with supplier device package 8-PDIP is a standard footprint for breadboarding, prototyping, and rework. It is not a surface-mount part, so it is not suited for high-density automated assembly lines. For a new high-volume design, a surface-mount equivalent would be more practical.
The supply span is 10 V minimum to 30 V maximum, making it compatible with common single-supply rails like 12 V and 24 V automotive systems, as well as split supplies like ±5 V to ±15 V. Quiescent current is 2.5 mA per channel (5 mA total for both amplifiers), which is moderate — not ultra-low-power but acceptable for always-on modules where the supply budget allows. Output current is rated at 10 mA per channel, sufficient to drive a following stage or a small relay but not a heavy load.
Input offset and bias — typical for a general-purpose bipolar amp
These are typical for a bipolar-input general-purpose op-amp. For precision DC applications (e.g., strain-gauge or thermocouple amplification), the offset may need external nulling or a chopper-stabilized alternative. The differential output type means the output is taken between the two output pins, not referenced to ground — confirm the load configuration before layout.
