4.5 V fixed reference with ±0.1% initial accuracy
The Texas Instruments REF5045AIDGKR is a precision series voltage reference that delivers a fixed 4.5 V output with ±0.1% initial tolerance. This is the rail that sets the full-scale range for a 16-bit ADC or provides the bias for a precision DAC — the tolerance directly eats into the system error budget, so ±0.1% keeps the gain error under 1 LSB for a 12-bit converter and within a few LSBs for a 16-bit part.
8 ppm/°C drift and 3 µVp-p noise — the temperature and noise floor
The low-frequency noise is 3 µVp-p from 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz, a spec that tells you this reference can support a 16-bit converter without a second LC filter stage on the reference input.
Series topology and 10 mA output drive
This is a series reference, not a shunt — it sources current to the load without a dropping resistor, and the output is stable with capacitive loads up to 10 µF. The 10 mA output current is enough to drive the reference input of multiple ADCs or a DAC plus a small resistive divider. Supply current is 1.2 mA typical, so the total power budget for the reference rail is under 6 mW at 5 V input.
The 0.65 mm pitch means a standard fine-tip iron can touch up a joint if needed.
