The REF5030IDGKT is a series voltage reference from Texas Instruments that outputs a fixed 3 V with an initial tolerance of ±0.05%. Low-frequency noise is specified at 9 µVpp/V over 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz — that 27 µVpp at 3 V output is the noise floor a 16-bit ADC with a 3 V reference sees, so the LSB count stays clean.
Supply headroom and output drive
Input voltage range is 3.2 V to 18 V, giving you 200 mV of dropout at the low end and plenty of headroom if the rail is 5 V or 12 V. The reference can source up to 10 mA output current, enough to bias multiple ADC reference inputs or a small resistive divider without an external buffer. Quiescent supply current is 1.2 mA typical, which matters for battery-powered or low-standby designs where every milliamp counts.
Housed in an 8-MSOP (3.00 mm width) package — surface-mount, small enough for dense analog front-ends but with enough pin pitch (0.65 mm) that a hot-air station can lift and replace it without pulling pads, as long as you preheat the board to 100°C first.
