Product details

3V fixed reference in a SOT-23-3 — what you are getting

It is the part you reach for when you need a clean, stable rail for an ADC reference, a DAC, or a regulator feedback divider and you do not have board space for a larger SOIC-8 part.

Input headroom and output drive

The 10 mA output current is enough to bias a reference input on most ADCs or to supply a small sensor bridge — but if you are driving a multiplexed ADC input or a long trace, budget a buffer amp. Quiescent current is 135 µA, low enough that the reference does not dominate the power budget in a battery-powered design.

Noise performance for precision loops

Noise is specified at 39 µVp-p from 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz and 57 µVrms from 10 Hz to 10 kHz. That is clean enough for a 12-bit or 14-bit SAR ADC without an external filter cap, though a 0.1 µF ceramic on the output does not hurt. For a 16-bit system you might want a lower-noise reference, but for the majority of industrial and instrumentation loops this is in the sweet spot.
