Two-channel bidirectional level shifting with auto-direction sensing
It supports open-drain and push-pull output types, with auto-direction sensing that eliminates the need for a direction-control signal — the part decides the data flow based on which side drives the bus.
VCCA spans 1.2 V to 3.3 V, covering 1.2 V, 1.8 V, and 3.3 V logic families. A 1.8 V MCU on VCCA can talk to a 5 V sensor or legacy peripheral on VCCB without extra glue. The 2-channel per-circuit count means two independent signal lines (e.g., SDA and SCL for I2C) are translated in one package.
Package and footprint: 8-bump DSBGA
The device comes in an 8-UFBGA / 8-DSBGA package (0.5 mm pitch, 1.6 mm x 1.6 mm body). The supplier device package is 8-DSBGA. Surface-mount only — no through-hole option. No exposed thermal pad; power dissipation is low for a level translator, but keep the traces short to the bypass caps on each supply rail.
This is the industrial temperature range, covering most commercial, telecom, and outdoor-base-station environments. Not qualified to AEC-Q100, so avoid under-hood automotive or other high-reliability applications without additional qualification data.
