Two supply domains, no direction pin
The Nexperia PCA9306DCUT is a single-circuit, two-channel bidirectional voltage-level translator in an 8-VSSOP package. Auto-direction sensing means no DIR control pin is needed — the part determines direction from the bus state, which simplifies layout and firmware for open-drain buses like I²C or SMBus.
Voltage range — what it covers and what it doesn't
VCCA accepts 1.2 V to 3.3 V; The overlap means a 1.8 V logic master can talk to a 5 V peripheral, or a 3.3 V microcontroller to a 1.2 V sensor. The part does not translate below 1.2 V on the A side — if your design uses a 0.9 V core rail, you need a different translator. The output type supports both open-drain and push-pull, so it works with I²C (open-drain) and general-purpose push-pull signals.
