This means it remains available for existing production runs but TI will not support new design wins.
Memory and interface budget for the touch stack
With 16 KB Flash and 512 x 8 RAM, the firmware budget is tight. The capacitive sensing library and haptic waveform tables will consume most of the Flash; the 512-byte RAM handles touch state machines and I²C/SPI communication with a host processor. The interface set includes I²C, IrDA, LIN, SPI, and UART/USART, giving flexibility for both local and bus-connected topologies. The 24 I/O lines in the 28-TSSOP package allow direct drive of LED indicators, haptic actuator PWM, and capacitive sense electrodes without external GPIO expanders.
Sourcing reality for an NRND part
Because this part carries NRND status, standard distributor stock is being consumed and not replenished. Buyers with an active BOM line should qualify a replacement before the last-time-buy window closes.
