What the 4x24-bit sigma-delta ADC means for your BOM
Its defining feature is the integrated four-channel 24-bit sigma-delta ADC — a dedicated measurement front-end that offloads the core from continuous conversion. This makes the part a natural fit for energy metering, process instrumentation, or any application where the ADC is the primary sensor interface, not a general-purpose MCU with a bolted-on converter. The 16.384 MHz clock is enough to run the metrology algorithm and communication stack without starving the ADC pipeline.
The 32-VQFN (5x5) package with exposed pad is a current footprint, not a legacy oddball.
Brown-out detect and watchdog are built in, so external reset supervision is optional.
Memory and peripheral budget
Program memory is 32 KB Flash, with 2K x 8 RAM for data. That is enough for a metrology calibration table, a Modbus or SPI communication buffer, and a modest state machine. Sixteen I/O pins are available on the 32-VQFN package.
