What this 16-bit MCU brings to a control board
The 8-channel 10-bit ADC handles analog inputs directly, saving an external converter.
Memory and peripheral budget — fit for sensor and control loops
It is sized for a PID loop with a few hundred lines of C, a Modbus RTU slave, or a battery monitor that logs to internal Flash. The 8-channel 10-bit ADC samples at rates adequate for 50/60 Hz power-line monitoring or slow thermocouple readout — but the 10-bit resolution limits dynamic range to about 60 dB, so a precision analog front end needs an external ADC. The PWM and watchdog timer are standard for motor drive and system supervision.
