Active production — no end-of-life risk for this MSP430G2xx MCU
The MSP430G2413IPW20: No last-time-buy or obsolescence notice applies to this order code.
8 KB Flash, 512 B RAM — memory budget for small embedded control
Program memory is 8 KB of Flash (8K x 8) with 512 x 8 bytes of RAM. That is enough for a single sensor-processing loop, a small state machine, or a communication bridge handling I²C, SPI, or UART traffic. The 16-bit MSP430 CPU16 core runs at 16 MHz, which keeps the active current low while still handling 10 kHz control loops or serial protocol framing without a problem.
It is not qualified for automotive under-hood environments (no AEC-Q100 listing), but the industrial range covers most commercial and light-industrial use cases.
20-pin TSSOP — compact footprint for space-constrained boards
The 20-TSSOP package (4.40 mm width) provides 16 general-purpose I/O pins.
