Automotive-qualified 16-bit MCU with 1 KB Flash
What the 1 KB Flash and 128 B RAM mean for your BOM
With 1 KB of Flash and 128 bytes of RAM, this MCU is not for a feature-rich application. It targets simple state machines, debounced switch reads, a single PWM fan-control loop, or a LIN-bus node message handler. The 128 x 8 RAM is enough for a few local variables and a small stack — any significant data buffering or lookup table lives in Flash. If the firmware grows past 1 KB, step up to the MSP430G2201 or G2231 in the same QFN footprint.
