FRAM eliminates the write-cycle overhead and endurance limits that constrain Flash-based MCUs in data-logging and over-the-air update scenarios. The device also carries 8K x 8 of RAM, 76 general-purpose I/O lines, and an integrated 18-channel 12-bit SAR ADC.

On-chip peripherals include brown-out detect, DMA, a real-time clock with LCD drive capability, PWM timers, and a watchdog timer.

The 76 I/O are accessible on all four sides; the package is suitable for standard reflow assembly and does not require a thermal pad or exposed paddle.
